Welcome back to another “Plan with Me” post. Last month, I came up with a summer schedule that worked well for me. Now with August upon us, it’s time to adjust our plans as we embrace the seasonal shift and prepare for a month filled with birthdays, activities, and the approaching back-to-school season. So, if you haven’t yet planned your August, let’s plan together!

Before diving into the new plans, let’s take a moment to reflect on last month’s planning. Did it help you stay organized and make the most of your days? Celebrate your achievements and acknowledge any areas that might need improvement. These reflections will serve as a valuable guide while crafting your August plan.
For me, I realized that I need to give myself grace. I had LOTS of plans on different videos I wanted to create in July. All this to say that the last video I posted was a monthly plan with me video. Yes I was upset, but I also gave myself grace and remembered that it’s also very important to dedicate summer time to my boys as well.
In our house August is undoubtedly a month packed with festivities and celebrations. From family birthdays to gatherings with friends, it’s important to mark these special occasions in our planners. And what better way to mark them than with colorful and fun stickers that are perfect for the month of August!
Take the time to list all the birthdays and significant events happening this month, ensuring you have ample time to prepare and participate in these moments. And don’t forget to make time for those gifts as well!
With the seasons transitioning, our routines and activities may also evolve. Consider how the upcoming weather changes might impact your plans. Perhaps you can incorporate more outdoor activities before summer comes to a close, or start preparing for fall by organizing seasonal decor and planning cozy indoor activities. Embrace the beauty of nature’s shifts and let them inspire your schedule.
For us, I’m excited to incorporate more movie nights and cozy family get-togethers. I love to create memories that we’ll always remember, whether its in the summer, fall or any other season for that matter.
For many of us, August signifies the start of a new school year. Whether you’re a student or a parent, this season brings a host of new responsibilities and adjustments.
Plan ahead for school-related activities, shopping for supplies, and setting up a study routine. If you’re a parent, remember to consider your own schedule alongside your children’s, ensuring you find a balance that works for everyone!
I will be homeschooling this year and have mentally prepared myself. I’m excited to embark on this new journey with the kids, but as always, giving ourselves grace as we all learn new skills and methods.
Given the dynamic nature of this month, it’s essential to create a flexible schedule. Life often throws surprises our way, and having room for adjustments in your plan will help you maintain a sense of calm amidst the chaos. Leave some buffer time in your schedule to handle unexpected events or to simply take a breather when needed.
You’ll hear me say this A LOT but remember to give yourself grace….life is just so much easier that way.
